• Toor Dal, Water, Salt, Haldi, Heeng, Red Chillies, Methi dana, Sabat Dhania, Coconut Powder


Steps to be followed

  • Put toor dal, heeng, salt, haldi, and water. Pressure cook
  • In a separate pan, put ghee, add onions, capsicum, carrots and roast
  • Add grind tomatoes and roast
  • Add the pumpkin and water and cover the pan
  • Check if the pumpkin and other vegetables are soften
  • Add dal to the vegetables


Method for Sambhar Powder

  • In a Pan, quickly dry roast, red chillies, methi dana, sabat dhania, coconut powder, each seperately
  • Grind all the above ingredients
  • For tempering tadka
  • Put ghee in a pan
  • Add mustard seeds (rie)
  • Add curry leaves, cudhi patta, red chilli, garam masala
