Vegetables In Red Gravy

Ingredients

  • Onion – 200 gms
  • Carrot – 20 gms
  • Green chilli – 5 gms
  • Beans – 20 gms
  • Potato – 40 gms
  • Tomato (big) – 30 gm
  • Fried gram – 20 gm
  • Oil – 10 ml
  • Saunf (aniseed) – 5 gms
  • Mustard – 10 gm
  • Salt to taste
  • Turmeric powder – 5 gm
  • Garam masala – 5 gm

 

Method for Sambhar Powder

  • Powder fried gram
  • Peel skin of onion
  • Heat a little oil in a frying pan
  • Add onion, fry and grind to a paste
  • Peel Potatos and cut it fine
  • Cut onion, green chilli, beans
  • Heat oil in a frying pan
  • Add mustard, saunf, green chilli, onion, vegetables, turmeric powder, salt, garam masala and fry
  • Add ground onion and boil
  • Soak tomato in hot water and remove the skin
  • Grind tomato in a blender and prepare puree
  • Add fried gram powder, tomato puree to the vegetables
  • When the contents thicken, remove pan from the stove
  • Garnish with coriander leaves
