Oats Upma

Ingredients

  • Oats – 1/2 Cup
  • Green Chillies – Optional
  • Onion – 1
  • Curry Leaves
  • Carrot – 1 finely chopped
  • Peas – few (8-10)
  • Seasoning – Urad Dal, Cashewnuts, mustard seeds, Cummin seeds, Chana dal & Oil

Steps to be followed

  • Heat a wok, slightly dry roast Oats without oil
  • Keep it aside to cool
  • Heat a wok / pan, Add ½ tsp oil
  • Add seasoning & let it sputter
  • Add green chillies, onions, peas and shredded carrot
  • Add 1.5 cups of water to it.
  • Add salt and fried oats
  • Let it cook for few minutes
  • Garnish with cilantro
