Chilli Soya

Ingredients

  • Soya nuggets – 200 gm
  • Salt – 2 tsp or to taste
  • Ginger paste – 1 tsp
  • Garlic paste – 1 tsp
  • Oil – ΒΌ cup (60 ml)
  • Onions, chopped coarsely – 2 cups
  • Soya sauce – 1 tbsp (adjust according to taste)
  • Vinegar – 2 tbsp
  • Some greens for garnish

Steps to be followed

  • Soak Soya nuggets in water for 15 minutes and drain the water
  • Squeeze the nuggets. Mix together the nuggets, 1 tsp salt, garlic, ginger
  • Heat the oil, and saute the soya over high heat till it looks ‘fried
  • Remove the pieces out of the oil, and in the same oil stir fry the onions over high heat till they look wet
  • Add the green chillies and stir a few times, add the remaindered salt, soya sauce, vinegar, and the soya
  • Mix well, and serve garnished with some greens
  • The nuggets should be squeezed and washed well so as to avoid an after taste of the dried soya
